How To Make Your Own Body Spray
Small Spray Bottle
1 Cup Distilled Water
1 1/2 Tbsp. Vodka or Witch Hazel
7 Drops Various Essential Oils or Fragrance Oils
Put the water and the vodka into the spray bottle and shake. The vodka will help the essential oils to disperse evenly and not settle at the bottom. Add your choice of Essential Oils or Fragrance Oils and shake gently.
How To Make Your Own Glitter Body Spray
Using the above recipe, simply add 1/2 of a teaspoon mica powder or fine body glitter. Shake before each use to suspend the glitter and the essential oils. Body glitter can be found at any beauty supply store.
How To Make Your Own Liquid Laundry Detergent
Grate one (1) Young’s Mercantile Laundry Bar into a medium pot. Add 1 quart of water and heat until soap is melted.
While soap is melting, in a 5 Gallon Bucket mix:
1/2 Cup of Borax
1/2 Cup of Super Washing Soda
2 gallons and 1 quart of warm water
Add soap into mix after it’s melted and stir a few times while cooling.
Add 1/4 fl. oz. of Young’s Mercantile Essential Oil of your choice.
(If you don’t want to use all your oil at once, you can always get a dropper and just add a few drops to your detergent each time you do a load.)
Store in bucket or transfer to jugs. Use 1-2 tablespoons detergent, depending on load size.
General Household Freshening
Add a few drops of oil to your trash can, laundry wash, Dryer sheet, drain, vacuum bag filter, or on a tissue for placement in your drawers.
Diffusing the oil in a Diffuser scents your home or office with wonderful uplifting smell. The most common Diffuser on the market in the Tea Lite Oil burner.
Add a few drops of oil to your running bath water and mix well before getting into the tub. Enjoy a wonderful scented bath soak!
Create your own Massage oil scent! Simply add a few drops oil to 1 ounce carrier oil such as Grapeseed oil and massage onto yourself or partner. Keep away from eyes and genital areas.
1 1/3 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/4 tsp Lavender Essential Oil
1/4 tsp Peppermint Essential Oil
1/4 tsp Lemon Essential Oil
Mix the citric acid and baking soda slowly with a whisk while wearing your mask. Slowly add in the oils. Use a spray bottle to mix evenly and reduce fizz. Try to keep the fizzing to a minimum by stirring frequently. Mold into silicone ice cube tray and let sit in dry place for 6 hours. Pop out of mold and store in an airtight container.
